We have a multi language site.

When in a different language than the default, clicking on Check Out in the shopping cart redirects the user to the Login or Register page, but not in the language the user was using.

This behaviour can be tested going to /es/clases/ on our site, and adding any of the classes to the shopping cart.

How can we solve this?

When clicking the "Print" option of an invoice, both mobile and desktop invoices are visible in the printed document, resulting in duplicate info in the printed doc. It is as if the css that hides each table depending on the device was being ignored.

How could we solve it?

When clicking on a select box in any of the My account sections (ie the filters Select Course, Select Type, etc.), the pop up window with the options use a very small font size, different to that used in the rest of the site.

How can we change it? We've tried css but it doesn't seem to work.

We have a site with several languages, with the default being English.

When accessing the section My Account - Profile in other languages, everything is fine, but if Save is clicked, the user is redirected to the english site, instead of the language he was in.

When clicking on "View" an invoice, the name of the student's company appears on a different line. When checking the HTML code, it looks like it is inside a different table than the other student details (name, surname).

This makes styling the invoice with css very difficult.

last november i was in touch with Michal from your team
to report one bug, which you fixed then
the bug was :
in the notification email the student first name appears twice instead of the first name and the last name
it comes from a conflict between joomla registration and guru registration

so you fixed it in november telling it will be integrated in the next release of the component
i upgraded the last version of the component 2 days ago and the bug is back, so obviously you didn't add it in the new version of Guru

please can you fix it again ?

We have a multi language site, with links created to gurubuy for each language. Everything seems to work fine when the course is added to the cart, but if a coupon code is added, or when clicking on Checkout, the site changes to English (the default language).

In a previous post you had noted that I could remove the word "Text" from the table of contents by commenting lines 411 to 441 in the guru_modal.js file. I tried that but it didn't work, so I wanted to see if the line numbering still applies after the most recent upgrade. Maybe you could give me some of the content of the correct lines (first and last) to comment out.

I am hoping there is a working solution to turn off the display of the lesson type (i.e.,"Text". In the case of my class, it doesn't make sense that it says "Text" when in fact I have a link to a video within the lesson. So I would really appreciate a suggestion.

We've noticed that the navbar available in the section My Account (the one with My Profile, My Courses, My Orders, etc links) is not available on tablets.

We believe this is due to their css classes. The nav bar and the dropdown menu that replaces it on small viewports have this classes:

NAV BAR: hidden-phone hidden-tablet
SELECT: uk-hidden-large uk-hidden-medium

This means that on tablets, both of them are hidden.

Could this be the reason?

We would like to increase the ID number of the certificates. Instead of starting with 100, we would like them to start with 1000.

To do this, we went to the table _guru_mycertificates, and increased the number (ID) of the last emitted certificate to 1000. So instead of reading ID=102, now it read ID=1000.

This seems to work perfectly, the certificate is created in the frontend without problems, and subsequent certificates adopted IDs 1001, 1002, etc.

Could you please confirm that this is correct, or should we update other tables too?

Using version 5.0.10 in production.

How can I make a promo code give a discount on the total purchase rather than for specific courses?

For example, if I create a promo code for $20 off and don't select any courses to apply this promo code - the promo code takes $20 off every course that the customer purchases. So, if they purchase 5 courses, the promo code value is $100 for that order.

If I select 2 courses when creating the promo code, that same promo code from above takes $20 off each of those courses. So, if the user picks both of the courses that I selected, I'm giving them $40 off ($20 for each course).

What I would like to do is give them a set amount off of their entire order. Say, create a promo code for $40 and let the customer choose whatever course(s) they want. When they check out, the discount is applied to the total amount (always $40) regardless of the number of courses they choose to purchase. For example, if they want to buy 5 courses at $50 each their total is
(5 courses * 50 per course) - 40 discount = $210. As it stands now, the price is calculated as
5 courses * (50 per course - 40 discount) = $50

I don't want to create separate promo codes and apply them to each course (say 5 $10 promo codes), because I want to let them choose which courses to take. They can take 1, 2, 10+ courses, but they are getting a certain, fixed amount off of their total bill.

What is the best way to do this?

I set this as low priority because I have a workaround: I copied and inserted iJoomla records into the media database table. Then I modified the records as needed directly in the database. For this I had to download YouTube videos and then upload them to Vimeo.
