Hi,
You must unzip the GuruLight.zip package and install com_guru_light_5.0.14_[09.10.2017].zip through Joomla installer.
I just tested it a second ago and there are no issues with install.

when I unzip the package the folder is called com_guru_light_5.0.14_[09.10.2017].zip but there is no zip file with this name??

I have even tried re-downloading the package and this folder is still not there?

see attached folders/files when the main folder is unzipped - there is no component folder

You only need to unzip the "GuruLight.zip" and use/install with Joomla the "com_guru_light_5.0.14_[09.10.2017].zip" package which is a zip file.
NO need to uninstall that one too.

I keep telling you the same thing - there is no zip file called this - I even gave you a screenshot!

The downloaded folder is called GuruLight.zip - this can not be installed. When this is unzipped there is no file called com_guru_light_5..0.14. ....zip. I even showed you a screen grab in my last response to show you that this does not exist.
When GuruLight.zip is opened there is a folder called com_guru_light_5.0.14_[09.10.2017] however it is not .zip. Even if I zip this folder it does not install as it is exactly the same as GuruLight.zip.

It's really frustrating. Could you please get onto this as I have been trying to get this installed for nearly a week now!!! Even better could you please resupply the correct installable zip file,

I am not sure what you do but something is wrong.

Please see attached image:
1. Go to http://www.iJoomla.com
2. Go to My Downloads
3. Download Guru Light
4. Unzip it
5. Use the another zip folder (com_guru_light_5.0.14_[09.10.2017].zip) which should be inside "GuruLight.zip"

Somehow, when you unzip GuruLight.zip, you unzip the other zip too, I am not sure how you do.

I'm telling you I have tried the multiple times and the package is not there. I have developed hundred of WP sites and not had this issue unziping files on mac and a week to simply get a package to install is too long! Please provide a resolution - this is the difference between a long term client and no client for you.

I just noticed you said about WP sites, this extension is for Joomla! and not WordPress.

I am attaching you the zip I am using that I just downloaded from ijoomla. Unzip it and you will find inside the component zip I am talking about.

This is first time when somebody report such an issue and there should no be any issue at all.

I fixed that issue and I released a new version. I am attaching you the latest one.
But, please, before to install it go and uninstall iJoomla News plugin. After that install the attached package and all should be ok.

my gosh this is really frustrating. All I want to do is install your component and I've been trying for 10 days and it still doesn't work ... 10 days to simply install the component - I mean really that is completely ridiculous and unheard of!!! I completely uninstalled the previous version and installed version 5.0.16 and I get exactly the same error message:

Call to undefined method NewsRss_File::NewsRss_File()

I can't keep going back and forth on such a simple thing as wanting to install the component. I planned to have this well and truly set and and live for my client now so I need to get this sorted. What is the issue???

Also in addition I do not receive a notification when the support ticket has been replied to so I have to continually keep coming back and checking which ads to my frustration

Please, before to install again the component I sent you, go to Plugins, look for iJoomla News and uninstall it. After that you can install again the Light version.
We will soon change this forum with an advanced one.

I really can't believe how much time I am wasting on simply trying to install a component!!!!! does the component even work when actually installed? I woundn't know because for TWO WEEKS NOW I haven't even be able to install.

Of course I unstalled the component and its plugins. I have done it 5 times and still get the same error.

ok I have finally installed it and have it working. I have set up a course that is sequential > one lesson per week. When I go to add media however all our media is in K2 articles however there is no option for k2 articles. Could you please advise?

Hello, Indeed there is no integration done with K2 component but only with Joomla articles.
